StrangeWeb and Other Musings...

  • Mood: Defeated but still optimistic
  • Music: The Beatles

Updated several StrangeWeb websites (even though I lost control of the ring due to my own neglect and inactivity -- it has been "adopted" by another strange webmaster in the ring).

Updated Not4Gurls Only ! Spaced Out Space Pad with new pics and wavs, and added a memorial to Christopher Reeve (September 25, 1952 - October 10, 2004).  Unfortunately, I do not, at the moment, have the finances available to pay for the extra, needed bandwidth -- so if the site is down from time-to-time, that is the reason why.

Cannot seem to get the Interactive Stories (1 2 3) to fly.  Does no one like to write anymore?  Or... perhaps the opening paragraphs need to be revised -- or started by someone new.

Haven't called Joycie or Melissa in over a month (and missed Joycie's birthday for the first time in my life due to severe mental preocupations.  I am sorry, my love, and I will make it up to you.

Bought candy and a new set of vampire teeth for All Hallow's Eve.

Looks like another four years of Bush! So how could this happen? Is it that the baby boom generation was in the midst of an amnesiac, mid-life moment? Was the populace (young, aging, male, female, and other) not too worried about the tremendous loss of (and lack of) employment? Were issues like re-training for displaced workers, aid to the homeless, education, gay marriage, abortion rights, and stem-cell research not relevant or important enough to merit a change in leadership? Did the fact that Mr. Bush cannot utter simple, scripted clichés without becoming flustered and tongue-tied not give you a moment's pause and reflection? I guess it most definitely did not!

Bush was reinstalled by the southern and middle American, moral majority, Christian right, who are in direct opposition to the above issues, and/or believe that a Texas president who can "kick ass" is better than a damn Yankee who reads books and can actually hold an intelligent conversation.

In any case, the Electoral College has spoken. Good luck George W., and may the next four years not be too disastrous, please!
